Lemon salt

Citric acid, also known as lemon salt, is a colorless, crystalline organic compound made of carboxylic acids. Its formula is C6H8O7. It is found in almost all plants and the body fluids of many animals. Lemon salt is used in metal cleaning works, to increase the durability of foods and various organic substances, and to flavor some soft drinks. It is also used in making confectionery and medicine. It is found especially in large amounts in citrus fruits.
