Mahleb

Mahleb (Prunus mahaleb) is a tall shrub or tree species from the Rosaceae family, reaching 8–10 m, that sheds its leaves in winter. Its fragrant flowers are white in color. The fruit, which is small or 5-6 mm in size, turns black when ripe. It is located in the geography between France and Germany in Central and Southern Europe, Northern Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan in Western and Central Asia, and Morocco in Northwest Africa. Outside of the food industry; It is used in the perfumery industry (in cosmetic products such as perfume and lotion), in the paint industry (in the production of varnish, polish), in furniture industry, in the pharmaceutical industry and in gardening as a rootstock.
